If you’re visiting this page, it probably means that recently, the love of your life got down on one knee and asked you to marry him… and you said yes! If that’s you, CONGRATULATIONS!! This is one of the most exciting times of your life, and I hope you’re soaking it all in!
But, I know you’re also on this page to get the ball rolling on your wedding design! The gorgeous details of a wedding are seriously my obsession, and I’d love to help you figure out your vision for your dream day.
We can begin to break down the design process into two simple steps: picking your wedding vibe, and choosing your color pallet. Once you get these design fundamentals down, you can begin selecting wedding vendors who can provide you with the style of wedding elements you’re searching for. Your gorgeous wedding will come to life before you know it!

Choose your Vibe
The first thing to figure out, is what style of wedding you’d like to have. Don’t worry about what’s on trend right now, but select a wedding vibe that feels most like you. You want your wedding guests to feel you and your fiance’s personality when they enter your ceremony or reception space.
If you are a more laid back gal, maybe an intimate boho or rustic wedding would suit your taste. If you’re more into the glitz and glam of things, an elegant soiree in a ballroom or historic building might be right for you.
When you’re searching for your perfect wedding ambiance, take time to do your research and make sure you’re in love with the style you pick. Keep in mind that you’ll look back on your wedding photos for years to come, so choose a wedding style that really resonates with who you are as a person.
Pinterest is your friend! As you come across inspiration photos for your chosen wedding design, save them to their very own Pinterest board. This will come in handy to refer to throughout the planning process, and will help you with our next design step, which is selecting your color scheme!

Select Your Color Scheme
Visit your wedding inspiration Pinterest board once more, and look for common elements and colors throughout the photos you’ve pinned. Look for the little details while you’re perusing through your Pinterest board. You may find that you have saved lots of photos of grooms in navy suits, or bridesmaids wearing blush dresses. You may discover that you’ve saved a lot of burgundy flowers, or emerald tablecloths paired with gold flatware.
These colors will set the tone for your wedding, and you can use them to create your color palette. Once you secure your one or two main colors, you can search Pinterest or Google to see which other colors pair nicely with your main color of choice. For instance, if you’re gravitating towards lots of burgundy, you could do a search for “burgundy wedding color palette”, to see which other colors would blend well into your color scheme.
Now that you have your style and color scheme selected, you’re ready to pick your vendors and rentals! I have some great vendors on my preferred vendors list, that can provide you with exactly what you’re looking for!
